Shame

A thousand Gazes
But all doubtful eyes.
A thousand People
But none that trusts.
A thousand friends
Each One pretends.
A thousand wishes
Not one prayer.
A thousand hugs
But no warmth.
A thousand promises
But no one stays.
A thousand compliments
All are fake.
A thousand years to mend
My name
Wouldn't suffice
Again its the same
SHAME.

This poem is Beautiful and Relatable. It captures a profound sense of isolation and disappointment. The imagery of “a thousand” repeated experiences, each falling short of genuine connection or trust, resonates deeply. It powerfully captures the pain of searching for sincerity in a world that often offers only shallowness. Your words remind me of the strength it takes to endure such feelings and the courage required to express them so powerfully. Despite the sorrow reflected in your poem, I hope you find moments of true warmth and trust.
